This bleached wood is attached to a roadside crash barrier at the end of a park road that I'd always ridden past.
This photo was a trick question for my camera - it's much brighter than the average scene and I wanted to see how it would meter the exposure. The D700 nailed it: I actually had to darken the photo slightly in post. It's not supposed to be able to do that.
(This is the first time I'm posting a 'Weekly Photo' on a Monday, but with working an extra shift and having a holiday, it's still a sunday to me.)
