Withstanding the downpour.

Famous

An event calling itself 'Style In Progress' took a day to repaint a lot of the graffiti in the Queen West alleyways. (They even used primer.) They painted over some amazing murals and replaced it with esoteric self-indulgent tagging. Maybe when my disappointment wears off, I'll see some value in their work... but it's been two weeks, and this is still the only one that I like.

Sleeping Birds Lie

This bird decided to spend the night on a fence post outside my back door, and wasn't about to budge. It was tagged and very tame.

In the first six months of counting hits, this website had had over 7,000 pages viewed by almost 4,000 visitors. Thank you to everyone who has followed one of my gratuitous self-promoting links, and a special thanks to those two or three people who have actually bookmarked this site.

I have broken the links to hundreds and hundreds of photos, which will take a long time to repair. The workaround is to replace "photo.matthewpiers" in the link URL with "matthewpiers.smugmug". Awkward, but only temporary.

This is happening because I have revamped matthewpiers dot com. More of what I write and photograph will be going there, so check it out as well.
