Thanks very much. I took several photos from this point, and this is one of the ones that worked. ("The Loneliest Road" posted earlier was the other.) This photo actually gives a better idea of just how vast this landscape is. And it's not as if I had my back to the rear horizon when I took this, either.
I have broken the links to hundreds and hundreds of photos, which will take a long time to repair. The workaround is to replace "photo.matthewpiers" in the link URL with "matthewpiers.smugmug". Awkward, but only temporary.

The more I look at this, the more I appreciate the exact angle you shot from. Never would have been my instinctive choice, yet it works so well.
