Rust

US Army mikado #195, built in 1943 by Baldwin Locomotive Works. Originally intended for export to India, it was one of eleven steam engines that Baldwin converted to the three-foot gauge used by the White Pass and Yukon Route.

I'm impressed. Very evocative images- I like your titles and comments, but almost can't help wanting to suggest titles and captions of my own. This should of course be left to the artist, but it might be fun to invite the other bloggers to make suggestions.
Keep it up, and I'll keep checking in. Good luck this winter walking around with your camera.

I have broken the links to hundreds and hundreds of photos, which will take a long time to repair. The workaround is to replace "photo.matthewpiers" in the link URL with "matthewpiers.smugmug". Awkward, but only temporary.
