(935) Quoting Shakespeare

Methinks it is like a weasel.
It is backed like a weasel.
Or like a whale?
Very like a whale.

See Quoting Shakespeare...

White

Not a remarkable photo, but it was taken on August 27, 2006.

Penny and I went for a walk to the Brickworks, and I obeyed the law.

Railing

This was taken on August 25, 2006.

I don't think it's too subtle.

Especially as I was using my mother's camera.

(934) End of Season

Continuing the bug-on-flower-shot-with-the-35-70/2.8 theme. This one is heavily cropped; the 35-70's 'macro' mode isn't that good.

Bug

Saying "Lady Beetle" just sounds so wrong.

Another shot with my garage-sale Nikon 35-70/2.8; at f/4 the background kinda creeps me out.

Blue Fence

A problem and a solution.

Playing with a Nikon 35-70/2.8 that I paid a ridiculously small amount of money for.

(933) Skyline, Again

I'm using my two-wheeled mobility to revisit places where I used to spend my time. I've never been much of an explorer.

(932) The Bike

The only 'fun' photography from me this week was when I went for a bike ride.

I love that the Oly 7-14 lens is capable of giving some `tude to a bike with little 20" wheels.

Waiting for Harry

This is what the pre-monochrome output from my IR Panasonic FZ18 looks like.

My last IR shot for a while, I promise. We'll return to vivid colour shortly.

Commuter

A commuter train running alongside the new West Toronto Rail Path, a route that will eventually link the west-end neighbourhood of The Junction to the west side of downtown.

IR Panasonic FZ18.

(931) Scyco Waste

A rare photo for me, not because it's infrared, but because it shows three-point perspective.

Plan "B"

My final IR photo from Nordheimer ravine.

It's amazing what you can find in the wilderness.

I have broken the links to hundreds and hundreds of photos, which will take a long time to repair. The workaround is to replace "photo.matthewpiers" in the link URL with "matthewpiers.smugmug". Awkward, but only temporary.

This is happening because I have revamped matthewpiers dot com. More of what I write and photograph will be going there, so check it out as well.
