Walking Downtown

King and University.

Lower Bay Station

Passing through Lower Bay station, which has not seen passengers since 1966. It was originally built for interlining trains from the University line with the Bloor-Danforth line, which was stopped after six months because of its operational complexity. Trains are being diverted through this station while crews work around Bay station.

Building Canada

Detail and environment of the monument to Chinese railroad workers in Canada, by Eldon Garnet.

Eldon Garnet is also the creator of the work "Time and a Clock," which I have admired for a decade.

To those who deserve recognition as a founding nation of Canada, Happy New Year.

Snowy Churchyard

I had to wait five months to take this photo.

Queen and Carlaw.

Exploiting the Olympus 7-14 f/4 with an abandoned truck in the shadows.

Ironically, I have two photos of this abandoned truck.

I have broken the links to hundreds and hundreds of photos, which will take a long time to repair. The workaround is to replace "photo.matthewpiers" in the link URL with "matthewpiers.smugmug". Awkward, but only temporary.

This is happening because I have revamped matthewpiers dot com. More of what I write and photograph will be going there, so check it out as well.
